Today, my guest is Cass Sunstein.

Pr. Sunstein is a legal scholar known for his work in constitutional law, administrative law,

environmental law, and behavioral economics. He is also the author of many articles and books,

among which the NY Times best-sellers The World According to Star Wars and Nudge, cowritten with

Nobel-prize winner Richard Thaler.

Pr. Sunstein served as administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs

in the Obama administration from 2009 to 2012.

He was a professor at the University of Chicago Law School for 27 years. After leaving the White

House in 2012, professor Sunstein became the Robert Walmsley University Professor at Harvard Law

School, where he established the Program on Behavioral Economics and Public Policy.

In 2017, to honor is exceptional contributions to the humanities and social sciences, Pr. Sunstein was

elected to be a Corresponding Fellow of the British Academy, the UK's national academy for the

humanities and social sciences.

In 2018, he was awarded the Holberg Prize, which some people describe as the Nobel Prize for the

social sciences and the humanities.

In 2021, Pr. Sunstein joined the Department of Homeland Security as an advisor to the Biden

administration on immigration policy.

He is also an avid squash player who, in 2017, was ranked 449th in the world by the Professional

Squash Association.

His new book, cowritten with Pr. Tali Sharot, is called “Look Again; the power of noticing what was

always there”, and I can tell you it’s a fantastic book.
