Description

In this episode — focused on SDG 15: life on land — we visit two places where Veolia Water Technologies has helped undo environmental damage such as purifying untreated water from an abandoned open-pit mine in Canada, and removing Agent Orange from soils at Da Nang Airport in Vietnam.

First we hear from Philippe Sainte-Marie, Tender and Procurement Director for Veolia Water Technologies in Canada. He explains how installing a water treatment plant to decontaminate the water from the lead-zinc mine was a big challenge for him and his team.

Next Maiken Faurbye, Department Manager for Soil Remediation at Krûger A/S shares
how she fulfilled her wish of using her geology education for something meaningful and useful for the environment.
