HD (Center for Humanitarian Dialogue) mediates to reduce conflict, limit human suffering caused by war and develop opportunities for peaceful settlements. A huge mission Olivia took on when she accepted to work on the Syria region for them.  

What does it mean to mediate for peace? Olivia brings together governments, armed groups, opposition parties and communities to help them move beyond their differences, create sustainable peace and build resilient societies. 

More precisely, it is a constant work of keeping the communication channels open and understand each side and their internal powerplays.
