Description
Since June, uptown Charlotte's late-night food carts have had to close early. Charlotte Center City Partners ordered it at the police department's request, and the bars around them got no such order. This week vendors took their case to City Council. We look at what the crime numbers show and what they leave out, and at who actually made the decision. Also today: North Carolina drops license plate stickers and paper registration cards, the Panthers host Detroit on Sunday Night Football without either starting cornerback, the CMS school board questions about $5 million in noncompliant special education spending, and Guard & Grace opens tonight in South End.
