Description
In November, federal agents arrested more than 425 people in the Charlotte area in about a week. This show promised to find out what became of them. The answer: the agencies that made the arrests have left multiple records requests unfulfilled, and the only accounting that exists comes from a university dataset and one reporter's analysis. What that data shows β statewide, more than two-thirds of those arrested had no conviction and no pending charges, and when Border Patrol left town on November 20th, arrests across North Carolina fell steeply. Plus: the Panthers close the preseason 3-1 and cut to 53 tonight, three school board members explain their abstentions using the word "process," and your week ahead.
