I also share practical ways landlords can protect themselves: supervising jobs closely, questioning invoices, understanding exactly what they’re buying and catching expensive exclusions before signing a contract.

Construction is one of the toughest parts of operating buildings today, but investors who learn to manage it will have a serious advantage.
