Description

"But it´s too far away..." many people remarked, after the European Commission recommended to grant candidate status to Georgia at the beginning of November 2023. Maybe you were one of them. Maybe you also don´t see a point in enlarging EU by some Caucasus country you can´t even find on a map...

Well, let me introduce you Markéta Gregorová, Czech MEP for Group of the Greens and European Free Alliance and the member of Delegation for Relations with South Caucasus, and three participants of November´s WunderParlement: Gvantsa , Lizi  & Ani  - two Georgians and one Armenian.

Together we discussed not only why Georgia wants to become a member of EU, but also it´s culture, moved history and internal politics. Last but not least, we didn´t forget to get to Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict...

If Caucasus didn´t speak to you before, now it will!

Interview by Anna KUKLÍKOVÁ on November 22, 2023 at the European Parliament in Strasbourg
