Description
How many times have you told someone โIโm fineโ when you knew that wasnโt really true?
Itโs something many of us do without even thinking. Saying those words often feels easier than explaining what weโre actually going through. But over time, constantly hiding our pain can keep us from experiencing the healing we truly need.
In this episode, I talk with Kent Darcie about the emotional impact of growing up as a child of divorce and how those experiences can shape us well into adulthood.
Kent shares how he learned early in life to say โIโm fineโ even when he was hurting deeply. As he grew older, he began to realize that many adult children of divorced parents carry wounds they donโt always recognize or understand.
What began as his personal journey eventually led him into a ministry focused on helping others acknowledge their hidden struggles and begin the healing process.
During our conversation, we explored why honesty about our pain is so important and how opening up to the people who care about us can create space for real healing to begin.
