Description
What lies are you believing about yourself?
The words we speak about ourselves carry more weight than we often realize. When we criticize our appearance, question our worth, or doubt the abilities God has given us, we may be repeating messages that do not reflect how God sees us.
In this minisode, I want to pause and reflect on the lies we sometimes tell ourselves—lies about our value, our identity, and our place in God’s story.
It’s easy to let negative thoughts become familiar. Over time, those thoughts can begin to feel like the truth. But when we speak harshly about ourselves, we are often criticizing the very work of the Creator who made us.
As you listen to this reflection, I encourage you to pay attention to the thoughts and words that come to mind about yourself. Are they rooted in truth, or are they shaped by fear, insecurity, or past experiences?
Sometimes the first step toward healing is simply recognizing the lies we’ve been believing and allowing God’s truth to take their place.
