Description

In this episode, I have the pleasure to interview Peter O’Sullivan, physiotherapist in West Australia, who has specialized in dealing with chronic pain. Peter will take us through the concept of chronic back pain and the concept of Cognitive Functional Therapy.

What is Cognitive functional therapy or CFT?

How does it work ?

And how can it help with chronic pain ?

We dive deep into those questions with Peter to understand the positive impact of CFT on treating pain.

We compare CFT with manual therapy and exercise on pain management.

Peter takes us through the clinical examination, and basic screening for each new patient that comes in.

And then he tells us about a patient of his that came in last week and the patient’s story, how Peter approached the Patient’s pain, what questions he asked and the suggestions he made to reduce the patient’s pain through a guided behavioral experiment.
