Franco-italian, born in Toulouse, France, from a familly of musicians whom italian grand-mother Semiramide opera singer and medium predicted “Veronica Barbara Antonelli she would have a beautifull voice !”. Since she was born Veronica has been singing...
At the age of ten, while she sang as a soloist a capella with a microphone, from that moment, she knew she would become a singer. She had a gift and wanted to perfect herself.
After studing at the Toulouse Conservatory and the National Conservatory of Athens in Greece, where she studied with the mezzo soprano Kiki MORFONIOU, the friend and collegue of Maria CALLAS, who taught her to sing with her whole body. On her return to France in 1996, she met Claude NOUGARO the jazz singer whom invited her to sing for him, a capella, however opera singers did not sing a capella. He insisted.
She sang an aria of Suzanna Mozart, a capella. Claude NOUGARO exclaimed “With such a voice you don’t need anything” !
Veronica was engaged in opera productions as backing singer and also soloist in concerts since 1992. Before a Recital in Sicily in 2005, she went to pray in the Cathedral of Syracuse. She was pushed to sing a capella. She encountered the acoustics of the site materialized by a luminous mouvement. Her first experience in echo location. Three months later, a DJ who plays lounge music, asked her to sing in Sedona, USA. She joined him. He told her “with such a voice, go test the canyons!”. She sang among the rocks wich are billions of years old. She observed that her voice was transformed by her environment. She wondered “Will I be able to recognize a monument by its acoustics? This is how “Monuments enchantés” the innovant concept was born in 2005.
Then since 2006, the Diva Mady Mesplé soprano coloratura offered her singing lessons by enlarging the repertoire.
Veronica was only able to find a circus producer in 2010, because no one believed in her so genius Singing Heritage Tours...and especially the world of opera !
