Description

How do you build rapport with a new team? Or build a productive working relationship with people you just don't like? This week I'm talking with Corporate Spy, Foreign Policy Advisor & Risk Consultant, Jeremy Hurewitz, who shares his journey from journalism to corporate espionage, and the key lessons his career has taught him about people, relationships, and leadership. Such as, the importance of emotional intelligence, vulnerability, and how to build rapport (even with people you're not the biggest fan of). We also hear some of the big misconceptions surrounding spies, what some of the facts vs fictions are about the skills they possess, and how these real-world skills can be applied in business settings. There's some great insights here for managing difficult relationships, understanding human behavior, why listening makes all the difference, as well as broader topics like the impact of diversity and the role of AI in hiring practices.
