We've all heard it: "Just Be Yourself". But is this actually the WORST piece of advice you've ever heard? Maybe... here's why...

I'm joined this week by Dr Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic, an organizational psychologist and author of 15 books, including his latest "Don’t Be Yourself: Why Authenticity is Overrated and What to Do Instead."

We'll be talking about nuances and complexities of authenticity, in your life, career, and in leadership. Tomas critiques the mainstream understanding of authenticity, and why being yourself isn't always that helpful, and how an understanding of identity and the roles we play in different contexts is more important.

We get into the line between authenticity and professionalism, and the potential pitfalls of excessive authenticity, including narcissism and entitlement.
