🎙️ Who is Agostino Calamia?

Agostino Calamia is a Senior Data Scientist at Shopify with experience in the entire machine learning lifecycle. Agostino has been pivotal in scaling MVPs to 7-digit ARR products. In 2019, he transitioned from a Project Manager position to Data Science as he fell in love with the analytical part of businesses. Since then, he has worked with data teams for small, medium, and large-sized companies and experienced Multi-Billion Dollar Corporations, including N26 and Shopify. Agostino's experience in evaluating business requirements, running experiments, building data, and machine learning models, evaluating performance, and business impact, deploying the model, and setting up long-term monitoring have made him an expert in everything regarding the machine learning lifecycle. He has used various technologies, including Python & SQL, Git, BigQuery & Amazon Redshift, Apache Kafka, dbt, TensorFlow & PyTorch, to mention a few. Agostino is the author of  "The Playbook for Machine Learning Lifecycles," which aims to develop and deploy machine learning efficiently and robustly for companies that build user-facing models.
