  Ah, you've come. I wasn't entirely sure you would, but somehow, I hoped you wouldn't keep me waiting. Please sit. The fire is warm, and the night is long. Don't be shy. You're safe here, with me. Do you hear that, Lorraine? It's been falling all evening, as though the heavens themselves weep for a truth I have yet to speak. Forgive my dramatics. Old habits die hard. Or perhaps, they never die at all. Do you know why I invited you here tonight? I couldn't help myself. There is something about you. Something that has lingered in my thoughts. much like the scent of jasmine captivating unforgettable i have lived many lifetimes watched centuries rise and fall like the tide seen the beauty of a thousand sunsets the splendor of empires and the fragility of humanity and yet through it all i have never encountered someone quite like you you are exquisite Not just in form, though I would be lying if I said I hadn't noticed the curve of your smile, or the way your eyes catch the light. No, it is so much more than that. There is warmth within you. A kind of light that even someone like me... Someone steeped in darkness cannot ignore. I... I must confess something to you. And I ask that you listen. Truly listen. For what I am about to say, it may change everything between us. Or perhaps it will only solidify what you already know. I am not like you. Not in the way that matters. I do not walk under the sun. Nor do I feel the bite of winter's chill. My heart, it doesn't beat as yours does. It is silent, still, and yet, in your presence, I feel as though it stirs, as though it remembers what it means to be alive. Yes, I am what you suspect, a creature of the night. A vampire, a being that feeds on the lifeblood of others to endure eternity. And yet, with you, I find myself questioning that eternity. What good is forever if spent without you? do you fear me i wouldn't blame you if you did after all my kind has been subject of countless stories most of them grotesque but you must know I would never harm you. I could never harm you. In truth, you are the one who has all the power. You have all the power over me. You have bewitched me in ways I never thought possible. I find myself drawn to you, not for the blood that courses through your veins, but for the soul that resides in you. You make me feel, human, as though I could step into the light again and not be burned. And that terrifies me. Do you understand? To be vulnerable, after centuries of control to feel, to love, it is both a curse and a blessing. And I am helpless against it. Tell me, do you feel it too? this connection between us. Or have I imagined it? A foolish dreamer, lost in the throes of an impossible desire. You do? Then perhaps I am not quite so foolish after all. Perhaps there is hope for someone like me. If you choose to stay, if you choose to be with me, you must know what it means. I cannot promise you a life of normalcy. I cannot give you the sun or the passing of seasons. But I can give you my heart, my eternal devotion. I will protect you, cherish you, and love you until the stars fall from the sky. But if you cannot, if this is too much to ask, I will understand. I would rather endure the pain of your absence than risk causing you sorrow on any level. Your happiness means more to me than my own. So I ask of you now, will you take this leap with me? Will you walk beside me in the shadows, knowing that my love for you burns brighter than any sun? You will. You have no idea what this means to me, to have you by my side, to share eternity with you. It is more than I ever dared to dream of. Come closer. Let me hold you. Yes, like that. You are everything I have ever desired. Everything I never knew I needed. And I swear to you.
