Alexis Deudon, Chief Data Officer at RAISE, shares his journey in implementing data initiatives in five different companies. In his first experience in 2012, he chose a BI tool and made it available without support. This approach didn't work well, as not everyone had the interest or skills to use it. In his second experience, his BI team spent their time creating custom solutions to meet business demands, which overwhelmed the team. In his third experience at AXA, the approach was product-centered with a strong focus on design and user experience, but this tailored approach was costly. In his fourth experience, Alexis found a good balance between a self-service tool and a small dedicated team to assist users. At RAISE, he aims for a product-focused approach, developed internally and helping stakeholders to build their data competencies.
