Tomoki, a Korean pianist and scholar born in Japan, studied with Serkin at Bard Conservatory. He has played in major venues worldwide, including Philharmonie Berlin, Wigmore Hall, and Suntory Hall in Tokyo. A champion of new music, he has premiered over 50 works and regularly collaborates with today’s most prolific composers.
Now based in Berlin, Tomoki is writing a book on Peter Serkin’s musical legacy. Today, he shares personal insights, reflections, and rare stories about his teacher’s artistic vision and impact.
