Welcome to this new episode of our Pacific Toks, where I engage in active conversations with my guests to talk about the challenges our world is facing and seeing them through a Pacific lens.
For this episode, I’m very happy to have the opportunity to have an other conversation with Keoni Lee. I had the privilege to meet him several times so I’m very happy to be able to share our thoughts through this podcast.
Keoni Lee speaks to us from the island of Oahu. He’s a very successful entrepreneur so I’ll just share a view of his achievements: he’s the cofounder of ‘Ōiwi TV the only TV channel in Hawaiian language, he also founded the great innovative coworking space of Waiwai collective in Honolulu and is now the CEO of Hawaii Investment Ready an organization that supports the people and organizations addressing Hawaiʻi’s social and environmental issues by accelerating social enterprise impact and access to investment.
In this episode, we talk about entrepreneurship in the island and the state of the Hawaiian economy. We also discuss the potentials ways to build differently our economies in a way that would fit more the needs of our communities and would allow them to work for the generations to come.
