A new report from the Center for Healthcare Quality and Payment Reform shows over 300 rural hospitals may close due to financial challenges and workforce shortages. While Congress recently allocated $50 billion over five years to assist rural hospitals, the CAP wants stronger policies to address these challenges. Read more in the show notes. In medical education news, the CAP recognizes over 90 recipients for this year's Distinguished Medical Student Award.
