From an article in CAP Today, CAP Cytopathology Committee member Don Underwood, along with Dr. Maria Luisa Palacarpio-Nicholas and Dr. Jordan Paul Reynolds, outline how their health system implemented the FDA-cleared Genius Digital Diagnostics system for PAP testing. It combines artificial intelligence with whole-slide imaging. After validating more than 1,700 cases across five sites, the team reached a 98.5% concordance rate, demonstrating that digital cytology can expand capacity, improve efficiency, and maintain diagnostic accuracy as labs modernize. The CAP is inviting members and customers to help shape the future of its digital experience. The new User Insights Panel brings pathologists and laboratory professionals into the development process. offering feedback on websites, digital tools, laboratory products, and services before they launch. Panel participants may take part in surveys, usability studies, and interviews providing input that directly guides improvements across the CAP.
