Election results are in for the CAP Board of Governors. Dr. Kalisha Hill was elected president-elect and will serve in that role until the fall of 2027 when she succeeds Dr. Qihui "Jim" Zhai as president. Drs. Earl Collum, Raj Dash, M.E. "Doc" de Baca, and Aaron Han will serve as governors for a three-year term. All will be sworn in at the annual meeting in Orlando next month. Register for CAP25 at the link in the show notes. Students are heading back to school in the fall, and that means infectious diseases are likely to spread in the classroom. On Tuesday, CAP experts will brief the media on what they're seeing in the lab, the top threats to watch for this school year, and what families can do to reduce the health risk.
