Mastering artificial intelligence for better patient care and life-saving cancer screenings for the uninsured. These stories and more coming up. This is Path News Network Daily Edition from the College of American Pathologists. I'm Nancy Johnson. It's Friday, November 7th. Imagine multiple artificial intelligence systems working together like instruments in an orchestra. The CAP's November 13th webinar will showcase how human expertise and machine intelligence can transform diagnostics and patient care. It's called The Power of AI in Pathology and the Future of Healthcare: Orchestrating the AI Symphony. The CAP's Dr. Raj Singh will present on how clinicians can use these tools in real time to boost efficiency, precision, and personalized medicine. Members are the heart of the CAP and they're being celebrated on November 12th in a special Appreciation Day. A new video debuting Wednesday features CAP board members expressing heartfelt thanks to members for their dedication to patients and the profession. CAP leaders say being a member means belonging to a community of purpose that supports growth at every career stage. To mark the occasion, members can enjoy special perks. including 10% off CAP merchandise and new tools like AI Studio and Cap on Demand to help them connect, grow, and thrive. For 30 years, Diane Duggan lived without health insurance, relying on minute clinics and emergency rooms for care. In a new Cap Foundation podcast, she shares how that changed when she attended a See, Test, and Treat event offering free cancer screenings and health education. Since 2011, more than 110 of these programs have provided screenings to over 9,000 mostly uninsured patients catching breast and cervical cancers early and saving lives. The program was the vision of the late Dr. Gene Herbek, a past president of the CAP. Today, his daughter Sarah continues his mission to make preventive care accessible to everyone. Donating to the CAP Foundation just got easier with more options. They're partnering with a company called Free Will to begin accepting non-cash gifts, including donations of stock and cryptocurrency. The new giving options are a response to demands for more flexibility and potential tax benefits. All contributions support CAP Foundation programs like See, Test, and Treat and resident education initiatives. That's all for today. Be sure to check the show notes for more information on today's stories. Watch your email inbox for more news like this in the CAP's advocacy newsletter every Tuesday and our weekly edition newsletter on Thursdays. We're back Monday at 5 a.m. Eastern for another episode of The Daily Edition. I'm Nancy Johnson. Have a great day. great day
