🗡️ Sermon delivered at Pilgrim Baptist Church on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at 6:15 pm. 🗡️
This expositional sermon based on Galatians 3:11-12 explains clearly that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God.
Paul's confidence is in the gospel. That is why he is NOT ashamed of it. Paul had 100%, complete confidence in the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
This sermon answers the following questions:
What does the phrase "the just shall live by faith" mean?
What is the source of all sin?
What does the phrase "and the law is not of faith" mean?
Finally, this sermon ends with a contrast of 2 types of people.
People who are justified in the sight of God. As a result, they live for God by FAITH.
The other type of person tries to follow laws, rules and commands. As a result, they live for God, by PERFORMANCE.
Galatians 3:11-12 (KJV) But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
