There is a great gulf between the sinner and almighty God. This great gulf is repaired by propitiation.

Propitiation is the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that appeased the wrath of Almighty God, thereby rendering God ready to forgive YOUR SIN!

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Christ accomplished this work on the cross at Calvary by becoming the propitiation, the meeting place, the shelter for man.

This sermon also gives a unique insight into WHO Christ came to protect us from.

Finally, although no man in the Old Testament looked forward to the cross; God sure did!

God has tolerated the sin of man for a long time. His forbearance is His exercise of patience toward repeat offenders' who are sinners and enemies of God.

God spared you from wrath by His death on the cross.
