Should Christian's celebrate Halloween? If you're concerned about Christians & Halloween, this is a must-listen to sermon!
The answer to this question is very simple once you understand the Festival of Samhain.
The Festival of Samhain celebrates the end of the summer and the beginning of the pagan dark season.
Pagans would go house to house asking for food to offer up in the Samhain fires.
In the Samhain fires, crops were burned and bones of animals were burned. This is where we get bonfire from. It was considered bones on fire, or fire of bones.
These bonfires were believed to scare away evil spirits. Pagans would wear costumes to disguise themselves and to frighten evil spirits.
This sermon explores the meaning behind some of the pagan Halloween traditions like bobbing for apples, fortune-telling and divination.
Halloween is known as a feast of the dead, and this sermon will give you a clear, biblical answer to the question: Should Christians celebrate Halloween?
