1 Corinthians 11:19 teaches believers to expect heresies to show up.
In 1 Corinthians 11 there is a decline in fellowship that starts with coming together not for the better, but for the worse. This leads to divisions and finally ends up with heresies among the Corinthian believers.
With no preparation and no understanding, the Corinthian believers did not know how to come to the Lord's table.
