In this expository sermon on 1 Thessalonians 4:1-4 you'll learn what a Biblical exhortation is and how to live your life as a Christian.
Because Christians have newness of life, we now live to please God. The fruit produced in our life should be abounding in holiness and godliness, not worldliness.
The problem with modern-day Christianity is immorality. This is not an honorable life unto Christ. We are called as Christians to live honorable, pure, clean and holy lives before God, NOT for salvation, but BECAUSE we are saved.
1 Thessalonians 4:1-4 (KJV) Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
