1 Corinthians 11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
Some Christian groups say a woman's hair is not enough of a covering. They firmly believe women need an additional covering.
What's ironic about his is that every prophetess in the Old Testament is never mentioned as wearing an additional head covering.
If you're going to say women need an additional head covering when praying or prophesying, then why don't we see women prophetesses wearing them in the Bible?
The simple answer is: God does NOT require an additional head covering for woman. A women's hair is enough. That is the clear, simple, biblical teaching.
To require an additional covering goes beyond what God requires.
