The IMO has set ambitious decarbonization targets for the shipping industry and aims to reduce vessels’ carbon emissions per transport work by at least 40% by 2030.

During MEPC77 which took place virtually end of November 2021, short- and medium-term measures were discussed, as well as some key topics such as air pollution, ballast water management, plastic litters, and more.
