In this episode of the Spiritual Teachers Podcast, Petr speaks with Ronnie Figueroa, a licensed psychotherapist, nutritional advisor, life coach and energy healer, about spiritual awakening, addiction, meditation, consciousness, the unconscious mind, intuition, the higher self, energy healing, embodiment and personal transformation.Ronnie shares his lifelong awakening journey, growing up in the 1960s and searching for meaning, belonging and something deeper. He openly discusses periods of anger, confusion, drugs and self-destructive behavior, and how these experiences eventually pushed him toward meditation, self-awareness and spiritual growth.A major turning point came through Transcendental Meditation (TM) and discovering Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now. Ronnie explains how learning to live in the present moment, observe the mind and recognize the unconscious patterns influencing our behavior changed his understanding of himself. The conversation explores trusting your inner voice, intuition, higher self, body awareness, vulnerability, breathing, meditation and learning to come back into the body. Ronnie explains why simply trying to think your way through life isn't always enough and why deeper awareness can come through the body and energy.

Ronnie also guides Petr through a practical three-part embodiment and meditation practice, focused on awareness, the body, breathing, energy and connecting with the present moment. The discussion continues into energy healing, holding space for others, surrender, observing without judgment, helping people through addiction and crisis, positive thinking, gratitude and trusting that answers can arise from within. Ronnie also shares the inspiration behind his upcoming book based on the 1906 Azusa Street Mission, its documented history, healing stories, spiritual experiences and the origins of the Pentecostal movement.
