Description
In this episode, Sev explores the hidden identities we build in order to belong, and what happens when we begin questioning them.
She shares a deeply personal story about growing up in a family where appearance, status and belonging mattered enormously, while what was happening beneath the surface remained invisible.
She explores the parts of ourselves we suppress because they don't fit the person we've learned to be.
She talks about anger as a doorway to boundaries and personal power.
She explores why spirituality can become another identity we perform.
And she asks a simple but potentially life-changing question:
What would you allow yourself to be if you knew you didn't have to make sense to anyone else?
Because authenticity isn't necessarily about discovering one “true” version of yourself.
It may be about becoming spacious enough to hold all of yourself.
The strong and the soft.
The wise and the ridiculous.
The ambitious and the peaceful.
The independent and the vulnerable.
The person who wants to lead…
and the person who sometimes just wants someone else to say: “I've got you.”
This isn't about acting on every impulse.
It's not about becoming selfish, reckless or cruel.
It's about learning to listen to yourself again.
To notice what you've been silencing.
To question the rules you inherited.
To stop confusing other people's expectations with your own truth.
And perhaps, little by little…
to stop performing your life.
Because the more of yourself you allow into the room, the less energy you need to spend pretending.
And that energy can finally go somewhere else.
Into living.
Into creating.
Into loving.
Into laughing.
Into becoming.
Into freedom.
A little experiment for you:
Ask yourself:
Where am I still performing?
Who do I become when I want to be accepted?
What part of me rarely gets to come out?
And perhaps the most interesting question of all:
What would I do if I didn't need anyone to understand why?
Let's experiment.
