Description

Today, let’s talk about the Pareto principle, also known as the 80-20 rule, which is a powerful tool not only in business but also in personal life.

The idea is simple: 80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts. It’s fascinating how much of an impact this can have on everyday happiness. I’ve applied this rule in various areas of my life. For example, my wardrobe was once a source of stress, with too many options but nothing that made me feel good. So, I got rid of 80% of my clothes and focused on the 20% that truly make me happy. The result? I feel more comfortable and confident every day.

I’ve also applied the 80-20 rule to my relationships. I spend more time with the 20% of people who bring me 80% of my joy, and it has truly improved my quality of life.

So, here’s my advice: take a look at your daily activities and see where you can apply the 80-20 rule. Get rid of the 80% that doesn’t serve you, and focus on the 20% that makes you happy.

Hi everyone, Malu speaking. I'm the author of Life's Notebook. Welcome to the Elevation Grades. I speak about career, science and well-being. Okay, enough. Let's talk. The Pareto rule is the 80-20 rule which is applied in business and which you can also apply in your personal life. I find it personally very useful because the Pareto rule asserts basically that 80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts. So, 80% of happiness from 20% of effort, that is absolutely amazing. I have applied it in several areas of my life, for example with my wardrobe, which was a nightmare in the morning sometimes when I was faced in front of a full wardrobe and didn't know what to do. to wear. So I got rid of 80% of my clothes and concentrated on the 20% which gave me 80% of happiness. Which means that people tell me very often you always look the same because I very often wear the same kind of clothes because I'm feeling happy, I'm feeling comfortable with the clothes. Previously I used to dress up with other types of clothes which I didn't like and I wasn't feeling well during the day and I thought, shit, I get rid of this once and for all. And so that was an application which was great. I also apply the Pareto rules to my personal relationships. I spend my time with 20% of people which give me 80% of my happiness rather than the other way around. And that has really improved my quality of life. So I leave you with the following thought. Have a look of what kind of daily activities and life changes you can... make today applying the 80-20 rule. So get rid of the 80% of what makes you unhappy and focus on the 20% of what makes you happy.
