Description

📷 French art schools have a long tradition of welcoming artists in exile. In recent years, they have been no exception to this rule. All over France, teachers and universities are mobilizing their networks to welcome artists from all parts of the world, so that they can continue their artistic reflection despite the upheavals in their countries of origin. What are the experiences of refugee students at French art schools? And what is the impact on their art and the art of those who meet them?

🎙️The French Teach is a podcast created by Campus France, produced by Usbek & Rica and hosted by Clémentine Spiler. In each episode, we invite you to discover a field of study with a future, and the french courses that are being created to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Academics, students, alumni, entrepreneurs, researchers... you'll find the voices of those who can help you make the right career choices, and who have come to France to study.

🙏 Thanks to all those who took part in this episode:

  • Sara Farid, Pakistani artist-photographer and journalist

  • Judith Depaule, director and co-founder of L'Atelier des artistes en exil

  • Stéphane Sauzedde, Vice-President of the Association nationale des écoles supérieures d'art (Andea) and Alice Brunot, Head of International Development and Partnerships at Andea
