Description

♻️ How can we train students to meet the environmental challenges that lie ahead? A number of French schools are beginning to lay the foundations for new courses, focusing on interdisciplinarity. New synergies between different scientific programmes, training in climate issues for students who have not been trained for this purpose... there is no longer any question of being ‘just a journalist’ or ‘just a businessman’, you need to be able to specialize in your area of defense. In this episode, we take a look at the schools that take a different approach to ecology, using one of France's most cutting-edge areas of research as an example: oceanography.

🎙️ The French Teach is a podcast created by Campus France, produced by Usbek & Rica and hosted by Clémentine Spiler. In each episode, we invite you to discover a field of study with a future, and the french courses that are being created to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Academics, students, alumni, entrepreneurs, researchers... you'll find the voices of those who can help you make the right career choices, and who have come to France to study.

  • Nadia Maïzi, Professor of Applied Mathematics at Mines Paris - PSL

  • Anne-Marie Tréguier, Director of Research at the CNRS and Director of the Institut Universitaire Européen de la Mer in Brest

  • Ana Carolina Pires, M2 Water Science student at the University of Montpellier
