Speaker #0who that to the who that nation welcome to the who that's a podcast your podcast for the new orleans saints here on the kb radio network i am your fellow who that and host kevin reed oh boy you know you gotta laugh to keep from crying You really gotta giggle just a little to keep from going completely insane after watching this complete embarrassment that took place on Monday Night Football in the Superdome when the Saints fall to the Atlanta Falcons by the score of 45-24. And it wasn't that close. The Saints are 1-3 on the season. the Atlanta Falcons improved to 2-2 on the season. Saints suck. There's no other way to put it. We've gotten four games this season, four, and I have yet to see what type of team the New Orleans Saints is. We fell behind in three out of the four. We struggled in all four, and we can't run the ball. no game we can't run the ball defense was holding us together the first three weeks not tonight defense just completely fell apart i don't know i don't know if kate nellis was that essential to this defense like that but this looked like a complete different defense than we saw the first three weeks of this season this was embarrassing this really Nothing to say. I thought last week against the Raiders was a game where, you know, it's really nothing to elaborate on. Saints were playing a pretty decent game until they started turning the ball over like a bunch of idiots and lost the game. And so it was really nothing to speak on other than the fact Saints need to hold on to the ball. You hold on to the ball, you... most likely win that game last week. So you go into this week, okay, if you clean up the turnovers, you should play well enough to defeat the Atlanta Falcons. I knew it was going to be a tough game. It's a division game. It's a rivalry game. It's a game that was set with all this ambiance of the 20-year anniversary of the block punt, the reopening of the dome that signified the rebuilding, the resurgence of the Crescent City. All of that pressure. You have former players who were on that team 20 years ago, including Drew Brees, Scott Fajita, what's his name, Scott Shanley? No, not Scott Shanley. Or maybe it was Scott Shanley. I can't remember all of them. But anyway, Steve Gleason himself was there. All of these players were there in commemoration of that. ESPN put on a whole grand production. for this game they don't do this for monday night games we had a whole halftime show like it was the super bowl with trombone shardy and and everything it was a spectacle tonight the crowd the crowd was lit and full throat at the start of this game hyped up all day long the game didn't start till 7 30 but people were in the city I want to say since three maybe even earlier than that I'll say around lunchtime 12 one o'clock people were packing the French Quarter packing uh Champion Square tailgating and whatnot you know it was a whole thing for this game I say all that to say this the city brought the energy the nation brought the energy with all of the hype behind it but you know who didn't bring energy the new orleans saints they were the most unprepared looking team i have ever seen in us in with a florida lease on their helmet all the years i've been watching the new orleans saints and it's been well over 40 plus years that i've been watching the saints cheering for the saints crying because of the saints all of that for all of these years Even during the Bobby A-Bear, we suck, cha-ching era. you know even with the dome patrol but we couldn't score to save our life those years the years with mike dicker the years with jim hasley the years well i'm gonna skip over sean payton because those were successful years the years with dennis allen even with all of that we i have never seen a team a new orleans saints team come out like they came out today i'm gonna say this and this isn't prisoner of the moment this isn't uh you know i got a vendetta out for this individual or nothing like that this is just reality kellen moore is not a good coach i said that last season and it kind of turned around you know they started playing a little better i'm like okay i'll give them a chance you know now we're into week not week but year two in his of his tenure as the head coach of the new orleans saints this team has not improved at all there has been zero improvement of this team zero and in most areas they regressed they gotten worse it's time it's time to take off the gloves here kelly moore ain't it and kelly moore ain't it and i need i need everybody in the who that nation to wake up and realize this i need them to take a moment take a break from watching just solely the saints games and look around the league look around the nfl and look at these other teams they have other teams with second year head coaches they have other teams with first year head coaches that have their teams ready to play. Case in point, you just faced one tonight. Kevin Skavansky, yes, he's been a head coach. He was the head coach of the Cleveland Browns until he got fired. But this is his first year in Atlanta. Could you tell that? Could you tell that this was a first-year head coach? I couldn't. This looked like a coach that's been with this team for years. Knew his players, knew what worked, had a game plan, and... executed it perfectly the coach that replaced him in cleveland his name is escaping me right now but look at cleveland first time head coach never been a head coach anywhere first time head coach goes to cleveland and they're currently first place in that division they're playing phenomenal in cleveland right now first year head coach other other stops you go to go to uh uh chicago chicago with ben johnson look how they look a super bowl contender not just a playoff contender a super bowl contending team the point i'm trying to make here kellen moore kellen moore was sold to us as this offensive guru he's coming off of a super bowl win as the offensive coordinator of the philadelphia eagles He knows offenses. Look at the success he had in Dallas. Look at the success he had in L.A. with the Chargers. And look at Philly. Oh, my God. Just wait until he brings this offense here and have all the weapons that we have. And look what he's going to do. Why every single week this team looks disjointed? Why all last season they couldn't even get into the red zone and score? We get to... This year, they can't, well, as a continuation of that, they couldn't score in the first quarter, and that continued tonight. They broke the trend last week only to continue it tonight. They can't score. They can't run the ball. I'm going to put it like this. B. John Robinson, and B. John Robinson is the top three running back in the league right now. Well, I would say the best running back in the league flat out right now. he's a beast he carried the ball 19 times today just him he carried the ball 19 times the saints team as a whole with three different running backs had 19 carries and three of those carries came from the quarterback so you could count it as four runners runners didn't outrush one guy and before somebody says it You could kill that injury excuse crap too. I don't want to hear that. Don't want to hear about the injuries. Atlanta had just as many injuries. Just as many. Other teams have injuries. The San Francisco 49ers' entire right receiving room is hurt, but they're undefeated, and they've been hurt the entire year. They're undefeated. Now, am I trying to compare Kellen Moore to Kyle Shanahan? No, indeed, no. But come on. come on throw that that that injury excuse out the window every team has an injury uh problem all teams are hurting i don't know what it is about the injuries i don't get it when it comes to uh uh this era of nfl football the injuries are coming fast and furious it looks like we're gonna have a couple of injuries coming out of this game hopefully not too severe but i i just don't know what to say. I honestly don't know what to say as far as how do we fix this. There's no fixing what the Saints' problem is. There's no fixing it. The sad reality is the Saints aren't going nowhere. All the hopes that we had, and I'm talking about we as me, because I said it. I thought this was the year. I thought if the Saints were going to make a move to start taking back over this division. This was the year to start it. Now, am I throwing a baby out with the bathwater? We only four weeks in. Not really, but I'm looking ahead. Let's just look at the next three weeks. Saints got to play the Minnesota Vikings. They have to play the New York Giants. And then they go to Paris to play the Pittsburgh Steelers. Those three games. I would love to know. what is everybody's prediction for the next three games judging going off of the previous four games we just played we're one in three and in in games in games we probably should have won could have won had opportunities to win not tonight this was the worst butt kicking i've ever seen from the new received by the new orleans saints Because the score really doesn't reflect the butt kicking. I don't think the Atlanta Falcons punched the ball one time tonight. They just ran the ball down the Saints' throat. Down they throat. And everybody, and I mean everybody, knew that the Atlanta Falcons were going to run the ball. They came off the bus saying they were going to run the ball. Everybody knew Atlanta was going to run. the ball and you still couldn't stop it you couldn't stop it i what is the issue here and then your defense is struggling and then on offense you're not helping you're not helping at all three and out yeah you try to run the ball maybe once get two yards and you're like oh oh we can't run the ball uh shotgun throw throw punt come back out throw throw throw punt throw throw throw punt you're not helping your defense you're not helping them at all and so this is this is the worst called offense i have seen in a very long time when it comes to the new orleans saints kellen moore ain't it i don't care what happens going forward kellen moore is not it if he hasn't learned by now how to coach this team how to get this team prepared i don't know what to say if you can't get this team prepared for this game this game there is no saving this team do you realize what all went into this game all of the emotion that went into this game all of the symbolism that was compound in this game on you top of the fact that you're playing Atlanta Monday night football prime time first prime time game in over a year and this is what you do this is how y'all come out no energy I mean flat as flat can be offensively and defensively as soon as as soon as B. John Robinson broke that run that 70 something what was it no it was a 56 no 59 yard run that what the third play of the game once he broke that that was it game was over it was over sucked all of the air out the dome you can hear a rat piss on cotton after that it was over lights out it was all atlanta from that moment on couldn't do nothing offensively couldn't stop nothing defensively we're moving on i'm not gonna stay up too late it's late it's late it's a monday night i'm already mad so it doesn't make sense going over and over and over The only commentary I have is on Kellen Moore and his, I don't know, incompetence as a head coach. That dude is horrible. He is completely trash, complete trash. Let's go over the stats of today's games. It's telling as telling can be, starting with passing Michael Penix Jr. 15 of 20, 223 yards passing, one touchdown. He was only sacked once today. Tyler Shuck, 30 for 48, 286 yards, one touchdown today. He was sacked twice. Running the ball. Well, before I get to the run, Tyler Shuck dropping back 48 times. And before anybody opens their mouth to say. Oh, well, you know, they fell behind. No, It was a point in this game where this game didn't really get away from the Saints until, I don't know, the start of the fourth quarter. There was still an opportunity for the Saints to kind of chip their way back into this game. It was too much passing. It was too many dropbacks, way too many dropbacks. You're going to get Tyler Shuck killed. You're going to get him killed. He was already messing with his hand at the end of the game, and I'm sitting there wondering why is he still in the game. Now, it was his left hand, which isn't his throwing hand, but that doesn't matter. It was no point. The game was clearly out of reach, and you still got this man in the game. Why your stat pad? Why you want to get him his touchdown? Stupid. It was just dumb. Kelly Moore is a moron. Going to the rushes. Leading rusher for the Atlanta Falcons is B. John Robinson, 19 carries, 145 yards on the ground, 7.6 yards per carry, two touchdowns. Brian Robinson, Jr., not too shabby himself, 14 carries for 62 yards, 4.4 yards a carry with three. touchdowns today for the new orleans saints alvin camara was our leading rusher today seven carries for 23 yards now he did have two touchdowns but come on our leading rusher for the entire game had 23 yards cj donaldson who didn't get into the game until the fourth quarter He had three carries for 17 yards. Kendra Miller, who fumbled, he carried the ball six times for nine yards. Tyler Shook carried the ball twice for five yards. Leading receiver today for the Atlanta Falcons was Drake London. He had five catches for 96 yards. Chris Olave for the New Orleans Saints, eight catches for 116 yards today. CJ Henderson led the Atlanta Falcons with 10 tackles today. And Julian Blackman led the Saints with 10 tackles today as well. Team stats. The Atlanta Falcons had 24 first downs. The Saints had 22 today. Third down efficiency. Atlanta was 50% going four for eight on third down. The Saints were six for five. 15 on third downs on fourth downs uh atlanta didn't go for it on fourth down didn't have to in this game uh saints they were three for four on fourth down today total plays atlanta ran 56 plays whereas the saints had 69 plays today total yardage atlanta 420 yards of offense saints 320 Total drives. Atlanta 11, Saints 10. Yards per play average. The Atlanta Falcons 7.5 yards per play to the Saints 4.6. In the red zone, Atlanta was 3 for 5, Saints 3 for 4. I'm sorry, Atlanta was 4 for 5. The Saints were 3 for 4. My bad. Penalties, Atlanta had 8. Eight penalties for 70 yards. Saints had eight penalties for 49 yards. Saints turned it over once. That was the Kendri Miller fumble. And time of possession, Atlanta had the ball for 30 minutes and 45 seconds. Saints had it for 29 minutes and 15 seconds. Yeah, it seemed pretty even statistically. But if you watched that game, it wasn't even at all. It shouldn't even have been that good. close it was that lopsided that lopsided of a butt kicking Atlanta did everything they wanted to do throw run to bake a cake it didn't matter whatever they wanted to do they did it with zero resistance Saints on the other hand had to fight for every yard they got and this is with their best pass I'm talking Atlanta's Best pass rusher going down with a concussion. Their secondary banged up. Their two best corners not playing. All this stuff going on. That's why that Saints have injuries bull crap. That's not going to work with me. You can throw that out the window now. That's over. That is not even an argument anymore. Let's go over the grades. Grades are going to be pretty easy. You can pretty much... You can pretty much predict where I'm going with my grades. In case you don't know, your first time listening, welcome to the show, by the way. But in case you don't know, this is how we do the grades. Here, I grade every facet of the team, offense, defense, special teams, and coaching, round them all up, and give an overall grade for the Saints' performance on Monday Night Football for the World Can See. Offense gets an F. Yeah, couldn't run the ball, couldn't stay on the field long enough, couldn't execute plays properly. You know, Tyler Shuck, God bless him, they're going to kill that man. Kellen Moore is going to kill Tyler Shuck. We're not going to have him long. I hope everybody enjoys him as a quarterback for the New Orleans Saints. Soak it in because the way it's going at you best we're gonna have three possibly four good years of tyler shuck before it's time to move on because they're gonna kill him they are putting way too much and i'm being kind with the three to four years because it could be sooner than that i just don't want to put the death nail in him but my heart is telling me less he is he is he is putting this young man in the worst predicaments possible there's way too much pressure And Troy Aikman was saying it the whole game, commentating. He was like, bro, they don't even try to run the ball. This is Troy Aikman, Hall of Fame quarterback, Super Bowl, multi-Super Bowl winning quarterback. He's sitting there looking at it like, man, they're doing too much with him. He is good, but my God, you're putting too much. We didn't put that much on Drew Brees. And why are we putting all this pressure on Tyler Shuck? That's not fair to him. Can he handle it? Is he a tough quarterback? Yes, he is. Love him. Love him to death. I think he's an awesome quarterback. I'm glad he's on the team. But I want him to be here for the next 10 years. But the way this is going is not going to happen. But I don't know, man. The offensive line is garbage. The run game. What run game? Don't. The only one who showed up to play today was Chris Olave, and it looked like he got banged up at the end of the game when he shouldn't even have been in the game. So, yeah, the offense gets an F. It gets an F. Defense gets an F. You couldn't stop a nosebleed today. They couldn't stop nothing Atlanta was doing. Couldn't stop the run. Didn't matter who was running. Couldn't stop them. Couldn't stop the pass. You're playing six, seven yards off of receivers. You're not covering down deep. You're letting people just get into this zone coverage thing that Brandon Staley is doing. I don't know what was the purpose of this. It's not working. It hasn't worked, but you keep doing it. It gets an F. Special teams. It gets a C. I ain't got no problem with the special teams other than the fact we missed the field goal because the field goal kicker is not good. But sadly, at this point, I'm used to it. I'm used to the fact we don't have a good field goal kicker. That's where we at right now. That's the Saints. That's how... That's... That's basically what we are. We are just blah. We're blah. Yeah, they get a C. Coaching gets an F. Kelly Moore, I'm not going to say he needs to get fired, but he probably needs to get fired. I don't see him improving. He is not a good coach. He does not motivate the team. He doesn't know how to call plays. Obviously, he doesn't have a game plan going in because if If that was the game plan going into this game, you're not going to beat a park team. You're not going to beat a Pop Warner team with that game plan. It was ridiculous. Overall, the team gets an F. This was the most embarrassing loss I've ever seen from the Saints. I can live with a blowout win, believe it or not. I can live with a loss. I can live with a blowout win. What I can't live with? What really makes me mad, what gets me to the point where I want to cut off the TV and stop watching the game is zero effort, no effort, and that's what you got tonight. And the reason I say I can live with a blowout win, you can have a blowout win if you fighting and there's just a team that's better than you. And that's understandable. That's understandable when you go up against a juggernaut of a team. and you're just an underdog team that's just fighting to stay in the game, I can live with that because at least you tried. The Saints didn't try tonight. They didn't even try with all that atmosphere, with all that energy in the dome, and you had none, I mean absolutely zero to give on that field. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. unacceptable i can't i i just can't believe it to be honest with you i i really feel like i'm in a twilight zone i like this can't be real there's no way that in 2026 a new orleans saints team will come out on the field and play that garbage unbelievable unbelievable well it doesn't get any better. Next week, the Saints will host... the Minnesota Vikings on a short week, on a short week. And Minnesota, Minnesota isn't the greatest team on earth. Theoretically, on paper, Saints should be able to put up a fight. But after tonight, after, you know, the totality of these last four games, I don't put it, I don't give them a chance. Until they show me different, I am not picking the Saints to win a game. They have embarrassed me for the last time. I'm not doing it. I'm not doing it. And if four men, if four rushers can get that much pressure on Tyler Shuck like they did tonight, just wait till you see the Minnesota Vikings. Brian Flores, who's the defensive coordinator over there, Brian Flores, he blitz on every single play. He doesn't care. he does not care he's sending it and if if you think we struggle tonight with that offensive line my god we're in for a treat this sunday coming but that's this sunday coming we got some time to lick our wounds and and and let cooler heads prevail who knows i don't know bro but right now right now i'm ready to burn the whole thing down i'm ready to just say look bro this ain't working kellen this is not working it's time to move on but uh yeah man this was heartbreaking this is a heartbreaking loss didn't think i was gonna get this i like i said could have accepted a loss but i can't accept a loss like this my god Anyways, go ahead and subscribe to the KBRadioNetwork.com website where you can be notified of new episodes dropping and also previous episodes you can go back and listen to.
