Description
Faith believes…
but courage acts.
Many people believe Jesus can do the impossible, yet remain stuck in the boat — safe, logical, familiar. In Matthew 14:22–33, Peter teaches us that faith alone does not move you onto the water. Courage does.
In this episode, we unpack why God demands courage, and why stepping out of the boat is not recklessness, but obedience. Biblical courage is not the absence of fear — it is trust in God that is strong enough to compel action despite fear.
We explore:
Why courage is central to the Christian life
How courage tests active faith, not passive belief
Why God told Joshua to “be strong and courageous” before He moved in power (Joshua 1:6–9)
How courage is rooted in God’s unchanging presence (John 16:33)
Why storms are not meant to stop you, but to develop perseverance, character, and hope (Romans 5:3–5)
The boat represents what you trust apart from God — your comfort zone, your security, your logic. But you cannot develop perseverance, spiritual authority, or transformation by staying there.
You don’t grow courage by avoiding fear.
You grow it by moving forward while trusting that God is holding you up.
If God is calling you to step out — this message is for you.
