Description

Paul challenges the Corinthians—and us—to examine how we treat God’s Word, as it can either lead us toward selfish pride or gospel power. When we let culture or comparison define us, we drift from our true identity as servants of Christ. Pride creeps in when we resist God’s authority, twisting Scripture to fit our desires rather than letting it shape us, leaving us spiritually powerless. But true power comes when we humbly submit to God’s Word, allowing it to sustain us in trials, transform our lives, and fuel our witness. The big question is: when life cuts you, what do you bleed? The world’s empty words and promises—or the living, active Word of God? Our choice determines whether we walk in arrogance or in the Spirit’s strength.
