Description

UNESCO Green Citizens builds a bridge between UNESCO's scientific expertise, local citizen solutions and the desire of young people to get involved in the fight against climate change. To date, more than 150 projects in 65 countries have been highlighted thanks to the actions of local citizens.

This podcast series captures 5 inspiring local environment actors talking about the issues they combat, and 5 UNESCO specialists giving their take on the issue and why it’s important to target it.

Recorded from the heart of the Namib Desert, Mexico’s Sierra Gorda, the Grand Bahamas, an urban forest in Australia and Morocco’s Al Hoceima National Park... listeners are invited to immerse themselves in project owners’ local environments, and get inspired to join them in their fight against climate change.
