Misinformation can spread rapidly, much like a virus. Pictures taken out of context can also contribute to misleading narratives. What is more concerning is that children and teenagers are the most vulnerable in this fertile territory of fake news. From the fabricated stories of the New York Sun in 1835 to the propaganda tactics of Nazi Germany, we explore the deceptive nature of fake news.
