    #64 - 🏃‍♀️‍➡️ Anicka Newell | 🏆 "I know I have 4.90m in me”

Today, hear the story of Anicka Newell, member of team Canada in Pole Vault. A great gymnast when she was young, Anicka suffered a pretty bad back injury, which forced her away from the sport. Then, in high school, Anicka was thrown on a pole vault runway, and learnt how to use a pole bwith a soccer coach.. This was obviously not love at first sight with this discipline, but the adrenaline of the jump made Anicka feel like she was flying; and since then, she hasn't looked back, climbing the world rankings, to end up making it to 3 consecutive Olympics. Today, Anicka reflects on what she still has in her to keep pushing forward, and also remembers about the ealy days with sparks in her eyes… Follow Anicka on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/flygirl93/ Follow the podcast on social media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/unfiltered.athletes/ LinkedIn (podcast): https://www.linkedin.com/company/unfiltered-athletes/ LinkedIn (Léo): https://www.linkedin.com/in/leo-bouisson/ Hosted by Ausha. #63 - 🏃‍♀️ Regan Yee | 🧘‍♀️ Running 150km per week, and forgetting about mistakes and failures

On today's episode, Regan Yee, Track and Field athlete specializing in the 3000m Steeplechase, explains how she reached the world's top level in long distance running. By simply "forgetting" how much training can hurt, and also forgetting about bad results and failures, Regan is able to only focus on the bright side of things, to keep her motivation at the top. Fortunate to be back by Under Armour, Regan is able to solely focus on running, and is aiming the next big international event to break the 9:20 mark on the 3000m. This Track journey started when she was back in high school… Follow Regan on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/reganyee/ Follow the podcast on social media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/unfiltered.athletes/ LinkedIn (podcast): https://www.linkedin.com/company/unfiltered-athletes/ LinkedIn (Léo): https://www.linkedin.com/in/leo-bouisson/ Hosted by Ausha. #62 - 🩲 Bryden Hattie | 💭 "Do I keep pushing or do I just start life?”

In this new episode, I spend an amazing moment talking to Bryden Hattie, diver with Team Canada. Bryden spent the last 4 years (and more) of his life focusing on one siingle objective: go to the 2024 Paris Olympics. When he missed the qualification and no spot was open for Canada, his whole dream fell apart. Today, I don't speak to the "diva", as Bryden calls himself from his Instagram persona, but I talk to a poised and thoughtful 23 years old guy who's reflecting deep on what's next for him. This passion for diving is still there, since it started when he was 4 years old.... Today, I spend some time in Toronto with Kaylie Buck, member of the Canadian Alpine Snowboard team; Kaylie shares her journey from her first time on skis, to the snowboard World Championship and the Olympics she attended in the past couple of years. As a hardwork and discipline enthusiast, Kaylie explains how she makes the most of her time, to make sure she constantly put all the chances on her side to be her absolute best; this journey started as she was looking up to her parents on the slopes... #60 - 🏃‍♀️‍➡️ Bianca Borgella | 🫡 2023: "Ok let's take Track seriously"; 2024: makes it to the Paralympics

In this episode, you'll hear about the lightning fast progression of Bianca Borgella, para-athlete competing in the 100 and 200 metres in the T13 classification. After being kind of tricked into going to a training session, Bianca started enjoying and approaching running on the track more seriously. While she was still in her debuts in 2023, she made it to the 2023 World Championships, and then to the Paris Paralympics this year. She explains how self-discipline, which she is still lacking a bit of, is what will bring her to the next level, and make her the cream of the crop in Track and Field.
