Since 2011, the St Morris Sinners have been delivering touching and raw dirty blues punk stories of lost love, death, and addiction embodied by Stephen "Slippery" Johnson, a singer inspired by the light of despair and the absurdity of the world.

And when you see him on stage, notebook in hand, you think of the film The Night of the Hunter by Charles Laughton with Robert Mitchum, whose fingers write LOVE and the other hand HATE.

Deep lyrics, haunting vocals, incandescent guitar and bass (Django Martin-Rowe and George Thalassoudis), and masterful drums (Angus Mason): the St Morris Sinners are in the worthy lineage of the glorious Nick Cave, Beast of Bourbon, or Gun Club.

Songs that come to life in a roar of frustration and under the guise of an exalted Stephen Johnson, with a diabolically perverse charm. Pray for us poor sinners!
