🔍 "Military Alliances amid the Emerging Global South" : an analysis of alliance dynamics in the emerging Global South, by Pakistan's former ambassador to the United States and recognized specialist in South Asian geopolitical relations.
🎯 Diplomatic and academic expertise: Former Pakistan Ambassador to the United States (2008-2011), Husain Haqqani managed a difficult partnership during a critical phase in the global war on terrorism. His distinguished diplomatic career includes serving as advisor to four Pakistani Prime Ministers and as ambassador to Sri Lanka (1992-1993).
Author of four landmark books, including "Pakistan Between Mosque and Military" and "Magnificent Delusions: Pakistan, the United States and an Epic History of Misunderstanding", he co-edits Hudson Institute's journal "Current Trends in Islamist Ideology". He was Professor of International Relations at Boston University and serves as Diplomat-in-Residence at the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy in Abu Dhabi.
