Description
Tonight Charlotte City Council holds a public hearing on extending the city's pause on new data centers, which runs out November 5. The length of any extension is still open, somewhere between nine and eleven months. But the pause only blocks new projects. Anything approved before June 8 keeps building, including a site under construction on University City Boulevard. We hear from a neighbor who says she never got a real chance to weigh in, and from the city's task force on why it wants all the rules written at once. Also today: State Health Plan open enrollment opens as the state's suit against Atrium heads to an injunction hearing, Charlotte FC rallies past FC Dallas, what the property tax amendment on your ballot actually does, and a new steakhouse ten floors above South End.
