Activo® is an independent digital strategy and transformation consultancy specializing in Digital Asset Management (DAM), Product Information Management (PIM) and Content Management System (CMS). Discover our services: https://www.activo-consulting.com Learn more about Digital Asset Management (DAM):

In this NAB Show 2025 interview, Frédéric Sanuy of Activo® speaks with Louis Matignon, VP Sales at Perfect Memory, about their groundbreaking approach to media asset management. Louis introduces Perfect Memory's media ecosystem platform, built over recent years, which delivers a revolutionary asset management system for both media and digital assets. What sets their approach apart is their focus on structuring data to make it truly usable for their clients, addressing the challenge of siloed information across organizations. The interview explores how Perfect Memory bridges the gap between various production systems, rights management tools, playout systems, and more, creating an effective supply chain for data movement throughout the organization. Their solution maps all this data into a specific business model relevant to each customer, enabling intuitive navigation and access. Louis emphasizes the importance of developing a comprehensive data strategy before diving into AI implementation - a philosophy that resonates increasingly with the market after many failed AI projects. Perfect Memory's platform allows users to access, find, and explore all their digital assets effectively, making operations leaner, more efficient, and adaptable to business changes. The company serves clients across various sectors including broadcasters, sports organizations like NASCAR in the US, and intelligence companies throughout Europe and the Middle East. Their vision is to bring their data expertise to the US market, helping organizations prioritize robust data strategies as the foundation for their digital transformation journeys. Today we are super delighted to be here at NAB Shore 2025 and especially here on the booth of Perfect Memory. So a French company and super happy to have today Louis Matignor VP Sales of Perfect Memory.

  • Speaker #1

This year at NAB Shore what we're showing is really the platform we've built over the last few years which is all about delivering groundbreaking asset management system be it media asset management you know for the broadcast industry or DAM for other industries. And all the technology that we've put in place is how do we structure the data so that it becomes usable for our different customers. The point is, today the big organizations we're working with, they all have silos of data, production systems, rights management systems, play out, etc. But there's no effective way to organize this supply chain of how do I move data that is entered at production level so that I can deliver it online. The model we built is to map all those data into that specific business model that is relevant to our customer and that makes it that anyone who explores and uses the systems and that is aware of that context intuitively and immediately can navigate across the asset management.

  • Speaker #0

How you can qualify in a short way these incredible benefits you can bring to a customer with your system?

  • Speaker #1

The benefit is quite simple, is make sure that you can use, found, explore. all the different assets that you use on a daily basis in the right way. By centralizing the information, making it available to anyone in a way that they can explore and easily retrieve it, then that's a game changer for their operations. And suddenly they can become more lean, they become much more efficient, they go much faster, and they can adapt as well in a much quicker way to all the different business evolutions that they have.

  • Speaker #0

Can you explain more or less the different vertical markets you are targeting?

  • Speaker #1

We're very strong in the media and entertainment sports industry. We have references here in the US. We work with NASCAR, for example. We manage the entire catalog of content from NASCAR. We work in France with broadcasters. We work in Europe with intelligence companies. We span, commercially speaking, we span the world from the Middle East up to the US.

  • Speaker #0

What is your vision? What's your expectations regarding PathX, Monorail or Cycle next years?

  • Speaker #1

Deliver the US. make sure that you know we can bring our data expertise and our data vision informational vision to think about the data strategy before you think about anything else that's really what we're trying to uh to imprint here i think the market resonates more and more into that four years ago it was pretty dry people didn't really understand so we really had to you know focus on the usage of dams and mams but now people start to be aware you know after so many ai failing projects they start to be aware that maybe there's something more core more deep

  • Speaker #0

that we have to address before we get into that and that's really what we want to bring to the market so thank you louis thank you so much for this interview to be delighted to be here today on the booth and so just follow us on damn news activo tv to get the recap the replay and all the content thank you so much bye
