Why do people annoy me on a Friday?
- Speaker #1
Honestly.
- Speaker #0
I thought it was like a rule that people understood.
- Speaker #1
The Karens be Karening.
- Speaker #0
But I'm a Karen.
- Speaker #1
And I know not to do it on a Friday.
- Speaker #0
I do. I'm like, it's a day of rest. Hello, good morning, good evening, good afternoon. I'm Sophie Lyons. I'm here with the gorgeous Clara Kavner. Welcome back to House of Gossip. We're here to deliver you a weekly dose of pop culture nourishment. Clara, how are you today? You're reporting live from Dublin.
- Speaker #1
From the storm, yes.
- Speaker #0
And your bedroom's very Wuthering Heights.
- Speaker #1
It is. And I'm in my chatted bedroom with a, well, kind of four poster bed, so I feel very happy.
- Speaker #0
Totally.
- Speaker #1
With the wind howling outside and the dart tracks completely flooded. You know, Brad Pitt is in town. He's apparently living in Dorky. So I've come home to try and spot him.
- Speaker #0
Sorry, they all love Dorky.
- Speaker #1
They all love Dorky.
- Speaker #0
Matt Damon loves Dorky.
- Speaker #1
Yeah.
- Speaker #0
Michael Jackson loves Dorky. Your favourite?
- Speaker #1
Yes. Van Morrison, Enya. He's filming some A24 film. The Riders, based on a book.
- Speaker #0
Oh my God, I wonder what Brad Pitt eats for lunch when he's like out, not working.
- Speaker #1
I know. I'm like, what a week to be here because it's the weather is so dreadful.
- Speaker #0
I'd say he kind of likes it.
- Speaker #1
Yeah.
- Speaker #0
Also, donkey's up a bit hot. Oh no, that would mean he would get more rain.
- Speaker #1
Yeah. Yeah, it's so nice to be home. I go to Dunn's with my mum later. Can't wait.
- Speaker #0
Jesus, that is one, two, uni, flu. The best thing ever.
- Speaker #1
It isn't. It's such a like Irish girl ride of passage or like a routine you do with your mum. It's just go to Dunn's.
- Speaker #0
And I only want to do it with my mum.
- Speaker #1
Nobody else.
- Speaker #0
And I like going at it like an off time.
- Speaker #1
Yes, exactly. Friday night and the lights are low. Totally. No one's going to be in there. Cornel's Court. No. It's the best.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, I've got a faff.
- Speaker #1
Yeah.
- Speaker #0
Jealous.
- Speaker #1
Yeah. Will we go to Dunn's? We go to Dunn's. Anyway. So, how are you? Will we kick it off with yours, your doors, your tests for the week?
- Speaker #0
So, I, as listeners will know, I'm an avid Real Housewives fan. It's all I really watch. It's all I care to watch. And I am a repeater, as I've discussed. I started with Beverly Hills and then I went to New York where that was like a real explosion of a journey. And that's what I prefer. And I've always been like, look, I need to get into another franchise because I've rewatched New York like three times through.
- Speaker #1
Yeah. OK.
- Speaker #0
But, you know, the kind of the mental game you have to play with yourself to to start something new. it's it's an emotional journey it's a connection but it's it's a lot when you come home for after a long day and you're like i'm gonna have to get to know all these women new i'm gonna have to get to know these girls okay and i was like i tried salt like i tried like two episodes a while ago and i just i just couldn't get into it and then i had heard everyone talks about salt i know and then i had heard what's the other one the original orange county watched 10 minutes and i was like it's not doing it for me and then i was like you know what i've heard atlanta is fire
- Speaker #1
Okay.
- Speaker #0
So, you know, you know, Eva from America's Next Top Model.
- Speaker #1
Yes, Eva Pigford. I met her in New York when I was like 17. I followed her around the shopping centre and asked her, I have her autograph in this childhood bedroom. Well,
- Speaker #0
she's in it.
- Speaker #1
Sorry, T-Dork. She's the winner and she was really small.
- Speaker #0
oh yeah that was like for a model it was like so controversial because she was like five foot two so she's in ultimate girls trip which is a spin-off of they'll get different housewives from different franchises and they'll bring them somewhere and she was on the series too that was covid when they went to dorinda medley's house in upstate new york and eva was in this and she was pretty fabulous and i was like oh i wonder what she was like when she was on the show because that was the ex-wives. They'd all been... discontinued essentially so then i was like i'll start with a series where eva is a main lady on it not just a friend of okay so i started on season 11 yeah of atlanta now this is only some five days ago let me tell you whoa it is so much better than all the series i honestly oh it's a lot of you it is a tree and a half it's so it's really sassy blah blah blah so then one of the girls in it long story short what one of the girls in it her her child is going to college and i've seen her on an ultimate girl's trip also her child's going to college and then this man comes down in one of the scenes into the kitchen and they're like leon uh cynthia's ex and he's the her daughter's father and he is flipping gorgeous right black stunning like beautiful like top 10 you like a grade meat like whoa and I was like god he is gorgeous and I was like he looks so familiar and I was like and I'm usually pretty good at it and I was like what is he where have I seen him and I was like no maybe and then I was like is it your man from remember the titans the guy Julius and I was like no that's not him then I googled it guess who he is He is none other than the main character in the bobsleighing Disney film from the late 90s, Cool Runnings.
- Speaker #1
What?
- Speaker #0
The Cool Runnings lead was in Real Housewives of Atlanta.
- Speaker #1
Oh my God.
- Speaker #0
He is gorgeous.
- Speaker #1
I need to get this man immediately.
- Speaker #0
And I have like, this is, this series I'm watching is from like, I think 2018, 2019. He doesn't look the exact same now, but like in this era, whoa. Look up his name's Leon something. Look up Cynthia Bailey and Leon and them in like the 90s. They are the hottest couple. I'm assuming around his cool running days because she was a model.
- Speaker #1
Oh my God, that's a housewife. Oh my God, he's gorgeous.
- Speaker #0
How hot is he? And he's lovely on the show.
- Speaker #1
He is. Three sweet with the daughter. Fine wine.
- Speaker #0
Oh, um. I'd imagine huge willie too sorry my god what a cross can like what a cross you know like the favorite things what's that thing called the venn diagram the venn diagram housewives cool
- Speaker #1
runnings what perfection
- Speaker #0
I honestly because I have a bit of a head kill so I was really like and when I saw that I was like oh my it really perked me up petition for more Disney retro actors to be in more reality TV shows. And he's so sexy in it. He's really sweet with the daughter and he's really nice to the mum.
- Speaker #1
Whoa.
- Speaker #0
I know, explosion.
- Speaker #1
That is such a good film. Oh my God, I need to watch that again.
- Speaker #0
So good. Feel the rhythm.
- Speaker #1
Feel the vibe. Feel the rhythm. Feel the vibe. You know, the guy who's really cold.
- Speaker #0
Vi, I need to watch it again.
- Speaker #1
And he has his lucky egg. So cute.
- Speaker #0
Oh yeah, his egg, his little friend. His little friend is like Cal, Tequina and Cal.
- Speaker #1
Yes, yes.
- Speaker #0
I need to watch it again. It's so good. I think it's a true story.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, I think it is. I'm so happy for this journey you're on.
- Speaker #0
Me too. Anyway, I'm really, anyone who watches Atlanta, I'm here to stay. Gazza, up to you. What are you loving or hating?
- Speaker #1
I'm loving, during this week, we got sent a little wedding present from my sisters. and it arrived and it was very like oh my god what is this what is this opened it up and it was a vinyl player and we wanted one for so long there was actually people who sent it if they're listening thank you so much they sent us vinyls when we got married on the assumption that we were cool enough that we would have a vinyl player yeah it is a very like you're cool here are some And we couldn't send them any videos. But now we, then we had like... uh vinyls to play but it was so funny trying to set it up because we were trying to have this um one of the the vinyls that dave and steph sent us was um you know that craig david arthur dodger song re-e-y when the ground say bump yeah but because we couldn't use the vinyl player because you kind of have to be a bit of a dj to know how to use it like we couldn't connect the speakers do you there's just a bit of getting used to of course yeah and then we were like we couldn't connect the speakers but we could hear it playing from the like the vinyl bit Yeah, we just were playing DJ for the night.
- Speaker #0
What a great gift.
- Speaker #1
It was so good. And then when it finally worked, and then you can like mess around with the speeds. So you genuinely do feel like a wicka wicka DJ. Like it's so much fun.
- Speaker #0
Did Trevor Nelson in the house?
- Speaker #1
Trevor Nelson celebrating 30 years on the BBC. Like it's been a big week for music for me. I'm obsessed with Trevor Nelson.
- Speaker #0
We haven't talked about him in a while.
- Speaker #1
I know. Yeah.
- Speaker #0
Do you remember I saw him in Soho Farmhouse?
- Speaker #1
I'm so jealous of you. I saw him once, my friend Jamie invited me to a gig that he was DJing at and I was so happy. I was like basically on the dance floor on my own. It's amazing. He's the best show on BBC One Extra.
- Speaker #0
I'd imagine quite a persona as well. Sorry, quite a presence.
- Speaker #1
Oh, yes.
- Speaker #0
Because no one has a presence at Soho Farmhouse because people are being so kind of like weird there. But like I'd imagine in the right setting.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, he was just fabulous. I'm trying for him.
- Speaker #0
What a great week for you.
- Speaker #1
Yes, it was just so funny trying to get the thing working just because we couldn't really read the instructions properly. But now we have it. And then because... David Sepp had sent us like TLC's album and stuff. And it actually makes you, because it's such a like, you know, you have three songs one side, three songs the other. You know the way if you're listening to Spotify, you'd be like, skip next. It makes it actually, you appreciate like the art of music because you're like, I couldn't be arsed like changing, skipping this song. So you actually really listen to the music. So I just felt like I'd like gone back in time.
- Speaker #0
Wouldn't be good for a Gen Z person.
- Speaker #1
No, or like, yeah, you need an attention span.
- Speaker #0
Is it only three and three on each side?
- Speaker #1
Pretty much, yeah. Sometimes there's four.
- Speaker #0
They sent you TLC. That's very good.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, so we were dancing to like Creep and Waterfalls. It was great.
- Speaker #0
Sorry, side note. Sorry to bring it back to Atlanta. But the woman who wrote No Scrubs is a housewife.
- Speaker #1
Oh my God, this show has it all.
- Speaker #0
I know.
- Speaker #1
Another Venn diagram.
- Speaker #0
It's really good. I know. It's so good. Now, Gazza, last week we had a myriad of topics. We got into the nitty gritty. This Newsweek has not been so meaty.
- Speaker #1
No, it's been...
- Speaker #0
But we still have some stuff to talk about. I'm going to talk about the never-ending Beckham story and what it has actually done to boost Victoria Beckham herself, even though it actually probably was designed to take a day.
- Speaker #1
Who's laughing now, what?
- Speaker #0
Well... Yeah, sales of a makeup brand. I heard this whole thing about she sells one of her eyeliners every 30 seconds.
- Speaker #1
Yeah.
- Speaker #0
And that's £32.
- Speaker #1
Whoa.
- Speaker #0
And she launched her makeup line as part of her brand in 2019. And that's like completely boosted her sales because they were in the red for ages.
- Speaker #1
They were.
- Speaker #0
But they're saying now in the past few weeks, the foundation, which is £104, has flown off the shelves. Yes.
- Speaker #1
Jesus.
- Speaker #0
Who would pay £104 like as in Joe Bloggs?
- Speaker #1
One of them isn't being sold every 30 seconds.
- Speaker #0
Well, no. Has flown off the shelf for most of its 19 colorways. Currently unavailable. It only launched in September and now it has a wait list for people hoping to get some.
- Speaker #1
Wow.
- Speaker #0
So really, it's kind of helped her. She's not an underdog, but I suppose when people see someone attacking someone else and stuff, the interest does spike. Your stocks can spike.
- Speaker #1
And I suppose because every time you go on any other pages, they're selling something. during this whole debacle. So it's clearly working.
- Speaker #0
Also, to Brooklyn's point, they haven't stopped with the old family love you social media posts, have they? And Cruise reunited the Spice Girls the other night.
- Speaker #1
Or his comment was funny. It was like, I think I found my new tour openers. So even in reuniting the Spice Girls and they're singing Viva Forever, he's still trying to sell a tour. It's like, oh, for God's sake. But it was funny.
- Speaker #0
One of the assets they've used to sell the tour, he's in like a speedo. It's very graphic. it's very graphic he's a young boy though no I think he's like 20 I wonder who's the most sassy out of all the kids guys I think him I think Cruz I think so too yeah I think Romeo's a bit more like oh no I'm so cool yeah
- Speaker #1
he's a bit more like huddle quiet maybe I don't know he doesn't say as much yeah I think he's like a bit more of a pretty boy I think Cruz is a bit more of a like trying to make it because he's the third in line isn't he you
- Speaker #0
And he always had a thing about his height. Oh,
- Speaker #1
poor Chris.
- Speaker #0
Oh, I think he's kind of coming out winning now. He's always putting up all his different bits. And now he has, like, I think a sold-out tour, which seems kind of bonkers.
- Speaker #1
Because every time you go on any of their pages during this drama, they're selling all their products.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, but it's not, no one's being forced to buy anything. Like, awareness ones. I don't know.
- Speaker #1
I don't know. Brian Beckham, number one. But yeah, I'm sorry. And a slight Brooklyn update is that he's covered up all his tattoos about his family. So he had this anchor with dad, kind of like sailor vibes. And dad was written kind of, you know, that sailor, it's kind of written in a ribbon across the anchor. And he's now, it's kind of been like scribbled out. And apparently David is obviously heartbroken, a source says. This is from the Metro. It feels like a deep cut, even after everything that was said in his statement.
- Speaker #0
David is obviously heartbroken, a source says.
- Speaker #1
Yeah.
- Speaker #0
And he removed the mummy, is it mummy's boy or something?
- Speaker #1
Mama's boy over his heart. And I think maybe after, if what he's saying is true and the N.A. inappropriate dance happened. I think whatever's been said about Nicola, you would be a bit like, that's kind of awkward. You have a tattoo of mama's boy and she kind of ruined her wedding. So I can see he might've been feeling some marital pressure to get rid of that one.
- Speaker #0
She didn't ruin their wedding though.
- Speaker #1
Well, like, okay. But if she, if, if the bride runs out crying.
- Speaker #0
So, you know, who's coming out of this totally unscathed? Mark Anthony. He's sitting pretty.
- Speaker #1
That's what I think. It's like all the, all the men. aren't getting blamed in any of this it's all just like the women no it's nothing it's issued by Victoria and Nicola yeah it's such a double standard isn't it it's classic and they're the main ones who've caused a lot of the drama or like huge players in it and then they're just not getting any of the blame or attention the poster's aimed at Victoria like yeah but even all the stuff that David did like it's still a bit bad like it's still like you're not coming to my party if you bring her you know it's mad you know he's no angel yeah but none of that got picked up none of it misogyny classic double standard it is but david apparently he's got loads of tattoos well he's covered in them but he basically doesn't have any skin left he has all their his kids names on his body he's got brooklyn like kind of a tramp stamp on his lower back on his bum bum above bum bum like above your short line say like tramp stamp area and then he's got buster which is brooklyn's nickname behind his ear and then he has you we love you daddy and children's handwriting somewhere. And one of them wrote it.
- Speaker #0
That's really awkward.
- Speaker #1
But then he, Brooklyn has Cruz and Romeo on his fingers. They're apparently gone as well. So he's like fully erasing his family.
- Speaker #0
Do you mean like gone over or lasered over? Yeah,
- Speaker #1
no, like, like there's a black line through it.
- Speaker #0
Oh my God.
- Speaker #1
They use their bodies as doodle pads.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, they do.
- Speaker #1
I don't have any tattoos so I don't understand the allure. So like, and I know like I've been with people when they've gotten tattoos and then they want to get another one and it gets really addictive and it's like, they are really cool. I just, I know I would just get sick of mine because I'm indecisive. So that's why I don't have one. But Brooklyn, he's hidden some of the David dad one with like a sketch of Nicola's bouquet from their wedding.
- Speaker #0
He's hidden the David dad one with a sketch of a bouquet. Oh, geez.
- Speaker #1
Of Nicola's bouquet from the wedding.
- Speaker #0
Do you see your man Nelson, the crocodile had some Q&A.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, he said he wants his family to stay the hell out of the press. And I tell my daughter she's great. My son-in-law, Brooklyn, is great. And I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together. He's so scary. I don't like him. Oh my God.
- Speaker #0
Calling someone the crocodile. I don't either.
- Speaker #1
Yeah. Brooklyn also has his wedding vows to Nicola tattooed on his body. And it's like a full paragraph. The One Direction lads did it as well. It's like this doodle pad. On your body.
- Speaker #0
Yeah.
- Speaker #1
Like Nicola, when you walked down the aisle, you took my breath away. You look so beautiful tonight and always. Let me start by saying the words that cannot even describe my love for you. Just looking at you like it's a full paragraph. I see my future and it feels like a dream. You're my world and I continue to fall more in love with you every single day.
- Speaker #0
Also, point of information. I would say they had to watch the wedding video to get that script.
- Speaker #1
True. Release the file. Release the tapes. Guys,
- Speaker #0
release. Roll the tapes.
- Speaker #1
Roll the tapes. those tapes are never going to be seen no maybe one day and just surely there's a hacker out there who can do it for us and then nicola has deleted all the beckhams from her social media deleted yeah notably deleting a post which she shared to mark victoria's 50th birthday and unfollowed i'm assuming i'm assuming so yeah this part is like when they start going down the tattoo is really god it's getting a bit sad i would just love if there was a therapist in the mix and i feel like there might not be. No, no, no. I could be wrong. Sure, they're firing all their like PR crisis managers. You know, it seems very unbridled. And they're doing so many pap walks.
- Speaker #0
Like, you know,
- Speaker #1
they were in that hotel in Montecito spending like £17,000 on a bottle of dessert.
- Speaker #0
Did you see the reel he put up or whatever it was? And it was just like a montage of them on a day out.
- Speaker #1
So it's a lot of like, oh, we're so happy. So I feel like they're really...
- Speaker #0
But then you said privacy. So why are you telling us about your day out?
- Speaker #1
It's so Harry and Meghan. It's so Harry. Yeah,
- Speaker #0
it is. Leave us alone,
- Speaker #1
but watch this. Leave us alone.
- Speaker #0
Leave us alone, but look what we did today.
- Speaker #1
It's very...
- Speaker #0
Watch you make my food and buy my hot sauce.
- Speaker #1
See, you're getting it. Brand Beckham.
- Speaker #0
The plot thickens.
- Speaker #1
Brand Pelt Beckham. Oh, God. There has been a lot of like couple announcements. I feel like everybody went through January, made it through, and then it was like poof, It was kind of like, and I suppose like the world's attention has been on Brooklyn, that like it was a great time to announce other stuff. Like that whole like, we're not touching it because it's just beyond annoying, but like the Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni stuff, like that all came out during the Brooklyn stuff when everyone's eyes were averted. So great time to release. statements because no one's going to pay attention to it. Everyone's just paying attention to Beckins as a lovely distraction. Now it seems like since the Beckham stuff has died down, it's like everyone's just getting their, like, either together announcements or split announcements. So I've just got a bit of a round up here.
- Speaker #0
Oh, go on.
- Speaker #1
So Millie McIntosh.
- Speaker #0
Oh, yes.
- Speaker #1
And Hugo Taylor have decided to split ways after seven years together and two kids. And I really thought they'd go the distance. They've known each other since they were like teenagers.
- Speaker #0
A question. I saw and it was like... She ended up giving up alcohol after they had a heated public drunken row at a wedding.
- Speaker #1
Yes.
- Speaker #0
Do we have footage of this? Or is it just...
- Speaker #1
I don't think so. I'd say it was a non-famous wedding.
- Speaker #0
Oh, I was Googling for it and couldn't find anything.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, so she was on ITV because she had this book called Bad Drunk. And she was on ITV and she told your man, Ben Shepard, that she got to the point where she had taken it too far and she really humiliated him. And I was so embarrassed. So then she went sober after that. And that was like maybe three years ago. And so she said it was like the tipping point in their marriage. So it was like her relationship with alcohol was the reason she went sober and she wanted to save her marriage. But it seems like maybe more as a play behind the divorce. But yeah, it's like I'm glad for her that she's like sobered up and like thinking clearly and not struggling with addiction anymore. I think she'd say like, oh, I'd be fine. But then when I've had a few drinks, I was just a really bad drunk. And that's why the book is called Bad Drunk. Hmm. And I don't know if you saw, and I don't know how verified this is, but the Mirror are reporting that the real reason for Millie and Hugo's split is that they've been having serious conversations about their future with Millie's sexuality even being questioned. So maybe like through her like path to sobriety, she's kind of finding out like who she truly is and having the courage to be that. So like I'm kind of obsessed with that. I think that's great. And it takes so much to like... if this is true obviously, you know, change your whole entire family set up and the impact it has on their two little girls. It's such a hard thing to do but like, delighted of her in a way because yeah, I think last year she did reveal something about opening up about her sexuality for the first time and had discussed it with Hugo and another source is here but they told The Sun that those discussions were kind of like widening a gap between herself and Hugo. And she's really come to understand who she is as a person, not a mother, not a wife, but actually as herself. And it's the first time she's been able to be fully open about her sexuality. And of course, it's been a lot to deal with. The source went on to say part of her is always wondering if she's missed out on a relationship with a woman and what that could have been like. She's also engrossed in health and wellness. And that's never really been Hugo's bag. Like, ouch, I kicked the man while he's down. They've been best friends forever, but they're on very different paths now. And they said that it's like equally agreed, very amicable. So it sounds like the two of them have just been through a lot. I'm glad she's kind of like finding her truth and through the not drinking, maybe discovering loads about herself and what she really like wants out of life. And it's a pretty brave thing to do, to have like the courage to be who you are, even though it affects like your husband and your two kids quite dramatically. So like fair play to her. That's obviously not a very easy decision. yeah sounds like they've been through a lot and uh rumor has it she's in talks to join strictly shut up yeah rumor rumor so yeah i thought that was kind of like random and sad olivia atwood broke up with her fella bradley dack yeah sorry what's that about he betrayed her and i've gotten into her podcast recently very guest dependent joanne mcnally was my entry point but i like her Yeah, oh, I really like her. her interview with Grace Campbell is really good.
- Speaker #0
She's such a gal.
- Speaker #1
She's such a gal. And then she said in the Joanne episode that like, oh, he's so supportive because he had a really bad knee injury and he used to play for Man United. Now he plays for some smaller team. So his career has kind of gone from like sky high to her now being like the main.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, he's kind of second fiddle, isn't he?
- Speaker #1
Yeah. And she was like, oh, he's so supportive. He's this, he's that. But then like, if what she means by betrayed means cheating.
- Speaker #0
you know if he feels intimidated by her career just feels a little bit like you know I'm trying to pull rank oh age old story yeah or if he's bored and he doesn't have the same like work commitments I don't know but did you hear Joanne on her podcast and she was like I've had a few boyfriends or whatever and they're like you make me feel really insecure about my career you make me feel lesser than yeah I thought it was a really interesting chat yeah yeah but it's very much a thing.
- Speaker #1
It's so true, especially like as a comedian, because that scene is like such a like male dominated space and like men kind of always want to be the funniest people in the room. So then she was saying that they're like intimidated by women who are funny. And she was even saying like men and like won't give her a laugh, even though she knows that they find it funny because they don't give away like the power of it.
- Speaker #0
I didn't hear that part.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, it's interesting.
- Speaker #0
Weirdos. Was it on the same podcast? I can't remember. And they were like. There's this thing where there are these like, who was it? Was it Dolly Aldrin saying it? I think she did. And she said like she knows some really successful women and they all have this problem.
- Speaker #1
And it's difficult because it's just like men want to feel like, some men want to feel like the most powerful in the relationship or the breadwinner or the...
- Speaker #0
It's like you've already lost by default.
- Speaker #1
Yeah.
- Speaker #0
Like if you're the woman.
- Speaker #1
And like just because you're successful.
- Speaker #0
Because you can't really do anything about how successful you are.
- Speaker #1
Yeah. It's like they don't respect your success really because if they did...
- Speaker #0
Or celebrate it. It's a really sad space.
- Speaker #1
It's really sad. Yeah, because I kind of thought like in this day and age, are we going to pass that? Clearly not. No,
- Speaker #0
no, we're not.
- Speaker #1
I just think it's like your partner's success is a shared success. You know, they've done this amazing thing. Isn't it like great? Good for them.
- Speaker #0
You have to be super secure though to feel that way.
- Speaker #1
And I think when you add in celebrity.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, imagine going out and them being like shouting your name and then he's just there next to you. He'd be like.
- Speaker #1
oh god and he's used to being the more famous one and now yeah we're still very much living in a boys club world don't let it fill you what yeah it's interesting but speaking of powerful women in powerful relationships that whole what do you think of that whole lewis hamilton kim kardashian thing so i'm going to the cotswold soon and i was like oh my god it's very petite couple yeah very petite pound size like poly pockets because she did some surprise thing at skims and then So she was in the UK. Then apparently he choppered into this hotel, the Estelle Manor, which apparently, I'm like, it's something like thousands and thousands.
- Speaker #0
It's stunning. I looked it up before to go.
- Speaker #1
Courtney and Travis went there when they went to the Coswells a few years ago. But I heard that people who went to it said that it's such an Instagram place that there's actually no care. The service is really bad because all they want to do.
- Speaker #0
Coswells.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, it's not actually like you're paying all this money and like.
- Speaker #0
they care more about like the interviews it's always the case what do i think about it pint size i don't really have a read on him he's kind of like he's very impressive because he's like came from very humble from my f1 education yeah very very impressive um i don't really know much about him isn't he a vegan i kind of know he's a vegan i just know he's a bit of a peacock dresser it's all very flamboyant and loves fashion which i mean probably would work
- Speaker #1
well they're both similar heights i do not think though like i think couples need to be a yin and a yang and i think they're too similar he would probably have similar attributes to kanye at the start fashion success success in their field pretty small being teeny i just feel like they'd be competing they could wear each other's clothes yeah i think they'd be competing for the spotlight not in terms of their success, because they're in totally, like, different fields, but in terms of, like, their fashion, it's like, one of them, you can't have two peacocks together.
- Speaker #0
That is so true.
- Speaker #1
Like, say, Kim would wear, when Kim and Kanye were together, he would always wear, like, just, like, black, or, like, he'd be very plain, or be very cool, or, but it would be very, like, plain, and then she'd be the, the kind of dressing real, The peacock. Extravagantly. Whereas, like, I think with him, Lewis, like, he's quite, he's very, risk way with his fashion.
- Speaker #0
But I can see the allure, like, he's English, he's like...
- Speaker #1
He's 41.
- Speaker #0
Into fashion.
- Speaker #1
Yeah.
- Speaker #0
He has, like, a cool sports career that's not basketball.
- Speaker #1
Yes. And they've known each other for, like, ten years. They've known each other for, like... Yeah.
- Speaker #0
Also, that must be so awkward, taking that leap from friends to show we, like, sleep together and see what happens. Like, that must be so weird. in a celebrity space because it's like you can't really like they were found out within like a day you wonder that must have been a leak like she can't really have like a casual hookup of course it was a leak dirty dirty laundry yeah I don't know it feels like a bit of a flash on the pan yeah which then you're like oh that's awful it shouldn't need to be on Daily Mail yeah I think she needs someone who's like background businessman
- Speaker #1
a normal guy.
- Speaker #0
A partner in some kind of business venture.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, I think Lewis Hamilton to me, while I don't know anything about him, it just feels like a bit of a like, it feels like you're going back to your old habits and that's not really, I don't know.
- Speaker #0
Don't we all though, Gazzer?
- Speaker #1
And then the last bit of news I have is the, well, it's not my news, but Molly Mae and Tommy announced pregnancy of their second child.
- Speaker #0
Oh, yeah.
- Speaker #1
I don't know. I just kind of thought, now I tried to watch her show, but it was beyond boring and so set up that it was just like, this is, oh my God, I can't. And I'm like, when I did watch that season of Love Island, I think it's very hard when you've had a child with someone and you want, because she said in an interview, like, oh, I want to give her a sibling and Bambi's always asking. It just, it screams to me a little, well, I'm very happy for the Maximals. It's just, it screams to me. Like, he only cheated on you, like, nine months ago, and now you're pregnant with his. It just seems like, why are we moving so fast? Like, protect your heart, Molly Mae.
- Speaker #0
He only cheated on her nine months ago, are you sure?
- Speaker #1
They broke up nine months ago. Oh,
- Speaker #0
my.
- Speaker #1
Like, it screams to me, Khloe Kardashian having the second baby with Tristan Thompson. Maybe that's where my war wound is coming from in this celebrity story.
- Speaker #0
I also just think, though, you know, when it's a celebrity, you're like, what are you doing? But like... couples do this all the time i know yeah couples do bonkers things all the time all the time like you know couples you do and you're like what yeah what was my couples when you're like what do you two talk about yeah do you know what i mean what's going on but there's so clearly something that they're what's working i don't know yeah we don't know what's at play celebrities you're like oh what are you doing but like humans me thinks yeah so
- Speaker #1
sorry they had their baby in january 23 They broke up the following August. And there was all this footage of him, like, scoring people in, like, it was some Eastern European nightclub.
- Speaker #0
Was that when he was with Drake or someone?
- Speaker #1
I don't know. He was just doing a lot of partying. But then they kind of tried to say he wasn't cheating on her and that it was, like, his relationship with alcohol.
- Speaker #0
Then he came out saying it was alcohol.
- Speaker #1
But then there was, like, a bodyguard in that nightclub apparently taking people's phones and deleting the videos. So that happened in August 24. And then they get back together in the May of 25. and now they're pregnant. It just, we don't know what goes on behind closed doors. We also don't know, like, you know, it's very hard when you do feel like a pressure to have a sibling to your child. You want to give that to Bambi, but maybe they've done therapy. I don't know. I just really don't trust him. I find him awful. Even though I couldn't care less. I clearly feel a lot about this couple, but yeah.
- Speaker #0
I find him awful.
- Speaker #1
I do.
- Speaker #0
I see where you're coming from. I just have no interest in them.
- Speaker #1
No, I just feel like she deserves better. I just think when, if you're going to cheat on your baby mama and your kid is like a year old, like, what are you doing? And that's all, that's what you've been caught publicly. Who knows what you're doing?
- Speaker #0
Caught with your pants down.
- Speaker #1
Yeah. So there is my up and down celebrity relationship.
- Speaker #0
That was a lot of couple roundup.
- Speaker #1
Roundup.
- Speaker #0
We spoke about like all the TV coming up and we didn't speak about this. and it's coming up on Valentine's weekend, I believe. It's Jesse Nelson's long-awaited, I think it's on Prime series. But I don't know if it's clickbait, but they keep saying this is where she's finally going to reveal the reason she left Little Mix.
- Speaker #1
Give us the goss.
- Speaker #0
I'm wondering if it's clickbait, because if it's what we know, then that's ridiculous.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, because Leanne and Jade have said a lot.
- Speaker #0
If it's the mental health struggle, we know that. So if it's more than that. Okay, but if not, that's real. Yeah. And they've just been dragging it on now. And they're like, she finally has her say. Like, they should have pulled it way up.
- Speaker #1
Yeah.
- Speaker #0
Anyway, and it's called Jessie Nelson Life After Little Mix. But apparently now she was on, is it Jamie Lang's podcast or someone? And she was like, they were my best mates. We had so much fun. It was way more powerful being in a band. Then being solo, I stayed in the band for my brother, who essentially wanted me to make cash to support the family. Leaving was hard. So I've never heard that part.
- Speaker #1
Interesting.
- Speaker #0
And now apparently she said she's open to a reunion, but they've never spoken since. And she didn't tell them she was leaving.
- Speaker #1
I don't think the other girls will.
- Speaker #0
But she never told them she was leaving. It was like a press release.
- Speaker #1
They all had to do therapy after she left. I don't think you should also be asking for a reunion via your documentary, you know, like.
- Speaker #0
No, but I'm like.
- Speaker #1
That's like not a genuine way to ask people.
- Speaker #0
Oh, yeah. And then I think obviously all the stuff. That's happened recently with her two babies and stuff. She said she like thinks about things differently and stuff like that.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, that's fair. We'll give you perspective. Yeah, it's so sad.
- Speaker #0
But I'm really hoping it's not flip bait.
- Speaker #1
Oh, me too.
- Speaker #0
She's open to the women making a little comeback.
- Speaker #1
Because I thought the documentary would be about the kids. No,
- Speaker #0
they teased it like, I think, before Christmas. So it was all before that.
- Speaker #1
Oh.
- Speaker #0
I know.
- Speaker #1
What channel is it going to be on?
- Speaker #0
Prime, I think. Gazza, I hear you have a record for us this week.
- Speaker #1
Speaking of Amazon Prime. Best TV show, six parter. We're just about to watch episode five. Steel, Sophie Turner from Game of Thrones. And it's a heist robbery thriller, which is so not my bag. But wow, is this good. And not eight episodes. I hate the way all these new shows are eight episodes and then there's just so much filler.
- Speaker #0
We're watching Hijack and it is dragging along series two. Yeah,
- Speaker #1
yeah. And like,
- Speaker #0
yeah, it's on the train this season. I'm like. Get them off the train. Steel, steel. Is it about jewellery?
- Speaker #1
No, it's about pensions. Basically, it's this big pension company. It's so hot. And the first episode is these robbers come in and they hack into the system and they rob like four and a half billion pounds of people's pensions. But the question is, is it an inside job? MI6 get involved. So Sophie Turner is one of the employees.
- Speaker #0
I was wondering what her part was.
- Speaker #1
Yeah. And then it's like, who knows what? And like, there's great reveals, lovely and pacey. London looks great. It's kind of like realistic and it hasn't gotten like, okay, I haven't watched the last two episodes, but it hasn't gotten like ridiculous that you're, what the fuck? It stayed quite like, ooh, this is very good. It's very gripping. Like you're not really on your phone.
- Speaker #0
Great, because I don't have anything to watch bar Atlanta, which is really taking up my time.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, it's a good, it's a good tense thriller. And I don't. As thrilling as I know Housewives is, but it's a good like midweek. You'd watch two episodes a night.
- Speaker #0
Great. She was in one about a jewellery heist on ITV like last year. I was wondering if it was the same thing. Or maybe that's called Heist.
- Speaker #1
Oh God, she loves the heists.
- Speaker #0
Interesting.
- Speaker #1
Now this one's Steel. So I can't wait to figure out how that ends. So if you need like a midweek watch, if you're post-traitors or like we really were struggling to find something to watch, this is great.
- Speaker #0
Don't watch Hijack, I think.
- Speaker #1

- Speaker #0
That was very cute.
