Description
What if I told you that in Europe there is a country, a culture in which the horse is central, common? A country where, in the words of Enda Caroll, it's perfectly normal to grow up around horses because ‘in one way or another, there are horses in every family, in farming circles and in their culture in general’. Ireland 🇨🇮.
Enda went on to point out that there are 12 Irish riders in the top 100 at the time we recorded our episode with him.
If we had to prove once again the common equestrian roots of Irish riders, then we could use the story that follows.
Michael Duffy is definitely one of them. A child of the country, a pure product of this equestrian culture, of this nation that grows up and lives with horses never far away, never too far 📍.
📈 Michael Duffy carries these roots with him, just as he carries his country's colours in competitions. At the age of 31, he has already recorded more than 2,500 starts in international classes with no fewer than 160 different horses, and I'm only talking about FEI competitions. 26% of first quarters in all the GPs in which he has taken part, 10% of podiums, 3% of victories. It's enough to make you dream... and that's just for starters. Because Michael Duffy pursues great ambitions, he is a hard worker, a relentless worker, but he's always been a horseman, a real enthusiast.
