Bio: Al Mango started his own graphic art company in his late teens Designing and creating logos, menus and labels, for various advertising agencies. Working in the glassware industry he moved into mold design for Wheaton glass in Millville, New Jersey. Hired by JG Durand, a French-made glass company, he became their Art Director, designing packaging and showrooms at 225 5th avenue, New York, New York. He began around that time designing and constructing sets for dinner theaters near Atlantic City, New Jersey and worked for Resorts International Casino in Atlantic City, in setting up the Superstar theater. He was hired by Universal Studios in Florida, working in construction of the Islands of Adventure, which became the lead scenic at various Islands. Projects including aquariums at Bass Pro Shops in Michigan and the Elephant fountain at the Audubon Zoo, in New Orleans From the beginning of Mangorock he created for Paramount Studios, Universal Studios and Dollywood. Marine Chevrolet in Jacksonville North Carolina saw some photos of his work and commissioned him to develop lightweight faux Rock retaining walls and the display for their Chevrolet dealership, which received recognition from General Motors.
