Description

Who's job is it to define the core values of an organisation, company, or team? Here's a clue: look up!

The subject of core values, their role in any organisation, and how to use them the right way is a key topic of this week's episode with guest David Bates. We also talk about Dave's career from IBM to Executive Coaching to Operations, C-Suite roles, start-ups, and life as a solopreneur and coach. Dave has pretty much done it all, and gained an incredible amount of leadership experience throughout that journey. We discuss the lessons and stories he has from those 30 years of leadership experience, what he gets up to today at Paravelle, thoughts on communication, organisational culture, and the nature of "soft" vs "hard" skills (or, better: REAL skills) and more.

It's a slightly longer episode than usual but it's well worth it; a really valuable conversation and I know I'm better for having it, so I hope it will also be useful to you as well.
