Description
Multidisciplinary artist and poet Tara McGowan-Ross published her memoir Nothing Will Be Different in 2021 with Dundurn Press — her third book after Girth and Scorpio Season. Both a literary coming-of-age and an eclectic playlist, the book pays tribute to her family’s legacy and her Mi’kmaq heritage. Nominated for the Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Award for Nonfiction in 2022, it explores addiction, grief, and intergenerational transmission. In this episode, Tara reflects on belief systems and on writing as a form of healing.
