Description

In this episode, we have the privilege of speaking with Noël Luke, she is the Chief Assurance Officer at TrustArc. Noël is a leading voice in privacy and data protection, she joined TrustArc in 2015 and is responsible for overseeing and enhancing TrustArc’s robust assurance programs, which are at the forefront of privacy and compliance excellence. Today we’re at the intersection of two key topics we’ve been discussing all year: artificial intelligence and privacy. Data privacy regulations are changing daily with new laws being introduced across the globe. Keeping up with these changes and remaining compliant is necessary for any organization who wants to avoid fines and loss of consumer trust. Noel explores the ethics in AI development, how AI is reshaping business operations and regulatory frameworks, and the top risks associated with AI and privacy, examining how regulators are responding to these challenges.

Noël is a dedicated and experienced privacy professional who brings a deep understanding of global privacy laws and industry best practices to her role as Chief Assurance Officer. She joined TrustArc in 2015 and is responsible for overseeing and enhancing TrustArc’s robust assurance programs, which are at the forefront of privacy and compliance excellence. Prior to joining TrustArc, Noël spent 8 years as a practicing attorney in California. Noël holds a B.A. in Law and Society from the University of California, Santa Barbara, a J.D. from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, and an LL.M. from the University of Washington, School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in California and Washington State. She holds the Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) recognition from the IAPP as well as the following CIPP certifications: CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPP/A, and CIPM.
